2019 WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition: Competitor Registration Form

This form is for competitors only.
If you have registered to be part of a regional competition before, please email firstname.lastname@example.org directly to complete your updated registration for this year's regionals. Your registration will be completed by head office and your regional coordinator will be informed of your intention to compete in this year's regionals.

Check if you are eligible to compete
There is no age restriction for the Regional Competition, however to progress to the National Championships in 2020 competitors must be born on or after 1 January 1996.
Competitors should meet at least one of the following criteria for the skill they intend to compete in.
- be undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship
- be undertaking studies towards a qualification at an RTO/TAFE
- undertaken/completed qualification at a RTO/TAFE in the Regional Competition Cycle (1 March 2019 to 31 October 2019 for 2019 Regionals)
Regional competitors born on or after the 1st January 1996 that achieved a medal at the Regional Competition may be eligible to be nominated to progress to the 2020 WorldSkills Australia National Championships.
International Age Ruling:
A competitor at the WorldSkills International Competition must not be older than 22 in the year of the competition (born on or after 1 January 1999 for Shanghai 2021).
Competitors in Information Network Cabling, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Team Challenge, and Aircraft Maintenance, must not be older than 25 in the year of the competition (born on or after 1 January 1996 for Shanghai 2021).

If eligible to compete and there is a competition available near you, your Main Regional Coordinator will inform you by email or phone of the details and what you need to know to prepare yourself for the competition.
